Once a market settles, NFA has to recognize that, read the real outcome, and match it back to the exact market that was forecast. Each of those steps has a way to go wrong, so each is handled carefully. ### Recognizing a settlement NFA watches the markets it has forecast and ingests each one's result the moment the outcome is genuinely certain. It waits for a true settlement rather than reacting to a price that merely looks near-certain, because a near-certain price on a still-open market is a live quote, not a resolution. ### Reading the right market Many markets share a family: a group of similar questions, or sibling outcomes under one event. NFA keys resolution to the exact market that was forecast, so a sibling that settled first is never mistaken for the one you actually asked about. This identity-safety is what keeps a track record honest at the row level. {% hint style="info" %} Resolution feeds directly into accuracy scoring.
