# Trading and portfolio

## Trading and portfolio

Once the engine gives you a probability, you can act on it without leaving NFA. Trading is fully non-custodial: your browser signs every order and NFA never holds a key that can move your funds.

### What you can do

* **Trade a forecast** directly from the result, as a market order or a limit order, on Polymarket.
* **Practice first** with paper trading that settles on the same engine that scores real positions, so the two behave identically.
* **Track a portfolio** with live marks, realized and unrealized PnL, and an equity curve.
* **Redeem winnings** in-app the moment a market resolves, through a single gasless relayer batch.
* **Fund and cash out** across chains, delivering collateral to your own wallet on Polygon.

{% hint style="info" %}
Every position is held in your own wallet on Polymarket. NFA reads your positions from Polymarket's public data, attributes an optional builder fee on orders you place, and otherwise stays out of custody entirely.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://nfa.gitbook.io/nfa-docs/trading-and-portfolio.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
