# Portfolio and redeem

## Portfolio and redeem

The portfolio is where a forecast becomes a position you can watch and manage. It reads your holdings directly from Polymarket, so what you see is your real on-chain state, not a copy NFA keeps.

### What it shows

* **Live marks and PnL.** Each position is valued at the current market price, with realized and unrealized profit and loss broken out.
* **Total value.** A single figure that includes your cash, open positions, and any winnings you have earned but not yet claimed. Winnings count toward your total the moment a market resolves, because they are already yours.
* **An equity curve.** Your value over time, stepping as positions resolve.
* **Active and closed positions**, sortable by profit, percentage move, or date.

{% hint style="info" %}
A resolved position is not automatically "won." NFA reads Polymarket's on-chain state carefully so a losing position is never mislabelled as a win. Only positions that actually paid out are shown as winnings.
{% endhint %}

### Redeem

When a market you hold resolves in your favour, a banner offers to redeem. Redeeming settles your winnings into your own wallet through a single gasless batch, without leaving NFA. You never have to go elsewhere to collect.

### Funding and cashing out

You can fund your trading balance from many chains and tokens, with the collateral delivered to your own wallet, and cash back out to your wallet when you are done. NFA reuses a proven cross-chain rail for this, and in every case the destination is your wallet, never NFA's.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://nfa.gitbook.io/nfa-docs/trading-and-portfolio/portfolio-and-redeem.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
